"…all ate the same spiritual food…" (1 Cor 10:3) The spiritual food, or manna, may be right before us but we eat it as if it is merely physical. Not many of us realize the spiritual aspect of our daily circumstances. We chew physically but miss the spiritual experience while going through the wilderness. The Israelites all had manna in the wilderness and ate of it, but only a few realized what was spiritually happening. Only two entered into the promised land. Joshua and Caleb had the "hidden manna" (Rev 2:17; Ex 16:33) experience while they went through the wilderness. They gained the real value of the daily bread by discovering that "man does not live by bread alone, but by everything that goes out of the mouth of the Lord" (Deut 8:3).
